New 4 bedroom deluxe cabin...remodeling photos

Our existing lodge is being converted into a new 4 bedroom deluxe cabin!

The above 3 photos show the start of our initial work of tearing everything out of the existing lodge so that we can start construction of the new 4 bedroom cabin. The photos give you an idea of the amazing views you'll have from this cabin, which sits right near the shoreline. The living room, dining room and kitchen area will have vaulted ceilings, with beautiful views of the lake in all directions giving you both a morning sunrise view and an evening sunset view!

The cabin will contain 2 bathrooms, one of which will be 9x20 feet and contain a whirlpool bath and separate shower.

The cabin will also have a fireplace for those early spring or late fall days. The look and feel of this new deluxe cabin is sure to provide you with that relaxing, northwoods appeal!

We look forward to posting updated photos of the cabin as the construction progresses on it!

Construction Begins...

The old shower house building has now been torn down, making way for construction to begin on the new lodge. We will continue to post updated photos of the construction progress for both this new lodge, and the conversion of the current lodge into the new 4 bedroom deluxe cabin!

One note of interest: the old shower house building was most likely constructed in the 1954 to 1955 timeframe. Once torn down, we found old newspapers and magazines dated around that time which were most likely used as partial insulating material.

Hungry Northern

A former seasonal camper at our resort, who now has a cabin on Lake Shamineau, found this Northern that tried to eat this Muskie for its meal! For those of you who may be skeptical of this picture, it is in fact a true, untouched photo that we decided to post on our blog for you to view and tell others about!
