We will post more updates as the construction progress continues.

Just a couple notes on the photos. As always, you can click on each photo to view a larger image. The wide angle view of the 4 bedroom cabin was 'stitched' together using 2 photos. You may notice that the photo doesn't look seamless and this is the result of having to manually stitch the photos together since we don't have a wide angle camera. Hopefully this photo will give you a better feel of the view you'll get from this deluxe 4 bedroom cabin!

If you have any questions for us or want to make a reservation, just click on the link below to access all the contact information:

Contact Information

Thanks for stopping by!

The AugersTom Augernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21783056.post-30253733780541900432007-12-04T07:40:00.000-08:002007-12-04T07:53:52.437-08:00Quick update...Sorry for the lack of recent updates. The windows were just delivered for the new 4 bedroom deluxe cabin. Once those are installed, I will take some new photos and be sure to update the blog with them! All the walls are now framed, and the electrical, heating and air, and plumbing work is all getting started.

One additional note: The new 4 bedroom deluxe cabin will have central air. We also decided, as part of this new construction, to also add central air to cabin numbers 8 and 9, which are the 2 bedroom cabins located right next to the new 4 bedroom!

We now only have a small number of cabins without air conditioning, but will work on adding it to those in the next few years.

Take care,

The AugersTom Augernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21783056.post-85860353387733322202007-10-03T16:45:00.000-07:002007-10-03T17:24:04.947-07:0010/3/07 construction update...<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_d4YM3Nz3xtE/RwQqK_6KEcI/AAAAAAAAAB8/RfjxPZQJB3g/s200/living_room_view.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117261445042147778" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_d4YM3Nz3xtE/RwQqLP6KEdI/AAAAAAAAACE/A2vUDhSlAAc/s200/dining_kitchen_view.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117261449337115090" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_d4YM3Nz3xtE/RwQqLP6KEeI/AAAAAAAAACM/hutHQfT1eQ0/s200/corner+view.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5117261449337115106" />
The 3 photos above have been posted to give a better idea of the view you'll have in the new 4 bedroom deluxe cabin!

The photos do not reflect any new construction. Since this is a conversion of our existing lodge into the 4 bedroom cabin, we are still in the phase of taking things apart to get ready for construction. The roof trusses that you see in the photos will be removed to make way for new vaulted ceiling trusses. The living room, dining room and kitchen will all have these vaulted ceilings. The combination of the open feel of vaulted ceilings and this amazing view is going to be very exciting to see come together!

Here is a quick summary of each photo:

Top photo: Living room area with a great corner view!

Middle photo: Dining room with a partial kitchen view to the right

Bottom photo: Close-up shot of the great corner view of the living room

In order to get a better view of each photo, you can click on each of the photos and a larger image will be displayed.Tom Augernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21783056.post-29902451101914783862007-09-23T18:05:00.000-07:002007-09-23T18:46:33.041-07:00New 4 bedroom deluxe cabin...remodeling photos<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp3.blogger.com/_d4YM3Nz3xtE/RvcN3P6KEZI/AAAAAAAAABk/sBvWcNF3_bY/s200/remodel_view_1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5113571144716915090" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_d4YM3Nz3xtE/RvcN3f6KEaI/AAAAAAAAABs/4U0Afx8N_vE/s200/remodel_view_2.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5113571149011882402" />
<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_d4YM3Nz3xtE/RvcN3f6KEbI/AAAAAAAAAB0/NrxwHXEI48Y/s200/remodel_view_3.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5113571149011882418" />
Our existing lodge is being converted into a new 4 bedroom deluxe cabin!

The above 3 photos show the start of our initial work of tearing everything out of the existing lodge so that we can start construction of the new 4 bedroom cabin. For those times you can bring your laptop up to the lodge, sit down with a cold beverage, connect for a while...and then go back to your well deserved vacation!Tom Augernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21783056.post-1155100598739923392006-08-08T22:03:00.000-07:002006-08-08T22:25:45.756-07:00Monster Muskie

Kevin Fricke, who has been vacationing at our resort since he was a kid, was recently featured on multiple twin cities news stations for catching this monster 52 inch Muskie. We originally spotted them early this spring when putting out the first docks of the season!

One more item to mention. We apologize for the lack of postings on our resort blog. It was a perfect evening: calm lake, beautiful sunset and the crappies were starting to bite! I hope this picture comes through okay...I didn't have my digital camera on me and instead had to use a camera phone. A picture never really does justice, which is why you'll have to come see the views and check out the crappie bite for yourself here at the resort!

We hope everyone has a safe and fun Memorial Day weekend!

We'll see you at the lake!

The AugersTom Augernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21783056.post-1139896891790972552006-02-13T21:14:00.000-08:002006-02-15T07:49:41.076-08:00Cabin Fever This is the time of year that cabin fever starts to set in for a lot of people - including myself. Thoughts of spring start to enter your mind - warmer days, snow melting, and the lake ice breaking up and turning into the crystal clear blue waters we've been dreaming of all winter!

It won't be too long and the spring work will begin at the resort. Right around the first week of April is when we begin to get the resort ready for the summer. The first jobs usually consist more of inside work...cleaning cabins and the lodge. As the days warm and the lake water temperature rises, we'll start getting the docks put into place. The sight of some of the first dock sections going out into the water always brings back memories of past resort seasons coming to a start!

Since the first season in 1974 up until last year, we have always had only wood docks. Almost all of them are 16 foot sections and up until last season, we put out almost 40 of the 16 foot dock sections (some of which you can see pictured in the photo). Last season we purchased 14 new 20 foot aluminum rollout docks. They worked well for us and we might look at purchasing more in the future. Even if we do purchase more, I think we'll always have some of the old wood docks around...there's just something about the look and feel of them that you can't seperate from a Minnesota resort!

We calculated the total docks we've put in since opening in 1974, and if you put them end-to-end, it would be over 3 miles! That's a lot of nails and pounding...and don't forget...black and blue thumbs!Tom Augernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21783056.post-1138758613052171652006-01-31T19:49:00.000-08:002006-02-13T21:12:16.620-08:00Welcome to our family resort blog!
Thanks for stopping by to view our family resort blog!

Auger's Pine View Resort is a family-owned resort located in the center of Minnesota near Motley and close to the Brainerd Lakes Area. We have owned and operated the resort as a family since the purchase in April of 1974. We have 11 cabins and 47 campsites (mostly seasonal sites) with electric, sewer and water. I recently upgraded and re-designed our web site. It can be found at the following web address:

Auger's Pine View Resort

Our plan is to update this blog with various pieces of interesting information about the resort and the surrounding area. The posts during the off-season (November - March) will not be as frequent (one a week most likely), but will increase as we get into the resort season.

We hope you enjoy following this blog and encourage you to call us if you decide to make a reservation with us.
